The SMARTNESS FAPESP Engineering Research Center aims to develop cutting-edge advances in communication networks and digital application services, scoped in strategic areas where significant scientific and technological impacts can be achieved by 2030.

With 5G deployment and the 6G vision being developed, our main challenge is how to engineer cloud computing and network infrastructures with adequate capabilities to empower the next generation of Internet services.
